The sixth round of the Batelco 2000CC Challenge is raring to go as the Bahrain International Circuit sees double the action and more of the competition on its track today at 9am.

With the National Sprint Championship sidelining the race and the National Racing Championship, organized by the CRC, also running alongside the Challenge, spectators will get more than they bargained for as the season progresses into its sixth round.

All eyes will be locked tight on the front runners of the Batelco-sponsored challenge, including Shaikh Salman bin Isa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the current leader on the board with 247 points, and nine out of 10 wins under his belt. Mustafa Al Khan will also be the one to look out for as he focuses on stealing another victory from Shaikh Salman which could earn him a first place monetary prize of 450 dinars. Second place could win 400 dinars, whilst third place will have 350 dinars.

The free sessions will begin at 9am today, whilst the qualifiers will kick off at 10am to determine the grid line-up. Fans will be able to watch the first 10-lap race at 1.20pm, on the inner track, whilst the second will take place at 4.15pm.

As for the National Sprint Championship, currently in its seventh round, drivers wishing to participate will be able to sign up from 11am – 12pm. The first free practice session for motor bikes will take place from 11.20am through to 11.40am, whilst the second practice will kick off at 1.45pm until 2.05pm. The first car free practice sessions will take place at 12.50pm until 1.10pm, whilst the second will be held from 2.10pm until 2.30pm. The final race will take place over two heats with the first commencing at 3.05pm whilst the second will begin at 4.40pm.
